Covid Annoucement – 2021 Event Cancelled

We are very sad to announce this but for the safety of our runners and everyone on Winston we have decided to cancel The Winston Whip this year. Thank you for all your support, we hope to host it in 2022. Take care of yourselves and stay safe out there! If you had registered you will be refunded 100%.

The Winston Whip is a proudly Eastern Cape Trail Run on an operational livestock farm in the Amahlathi area. It is an opportunity for trail runners from across the country to enjoy some of the hidden gems of the Eastern Cape. Situated between Hogsback and Cathcart is Winston Farm, the home of The Winston Whip. The Whip was started in order to promote tourism in our breathtakingly beautiful area that hardly anyone knows about and what better way to do it than a trail run.

The main event is the 50km run made up of 2 stages over 2 days, 29km on Day 1 and 21km on Day 2. We have space for 100 campers in our race village. Runners not keen on camping are encouraged to make use of the Outside Stay Package. (We are thinking of listing a few accommodation options here, but nothing is confirmed yet)

Runners are also greeted to enter either of the stages and only join us for the day. Day 1 is a 29km route while Day 2 is a 21km route, the choice is yours.

On Day 1 we will also have a 10km and 5km routes available, so bring the family and enjoy the day with us!

We are also offering a camping supporters package for those who come a long to cheer runners on.
